Dear Medical Community,

The 5th Annual International ECD Medical Symposium will be held on October 26, 2017 in New York, NY.  You are also invited to attend other related events. Please read on for the details and to register for these activities.

RECEPTION: Oct. 25, 6 - 8 pm

The Erdheim-Chester Disease Global Alliance (ECDGA) will be co-hosting a medical professional reception with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center on October 25, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.  This will be located at the MSKCC Faculty Club at 430 E 67th Street, New York, NY 10065. This social gathering will be an opportunity for fellowship among the Medical Symposium attendees and the ECDGA Board of Directors in attendance.  We hope you will register to attend.

MEDICAL SYMPOSIUM: Oct. 26, 8 am – 5 pm

The ECD Medical Symposium, scheduled for 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017, will be co-hosted by Eli Diamond, MD with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Mark Heaney, MD, PhD with Columbia University Medical Center.  If you are interested in presenting ECD treatments, case studies, or other ECD related topics at this event, please email your abstract to Jessica Corkran at jessica.corkran@erdheim-chester.org. The deadline for participation and abstract submittal is August 1, 2017.  

The event fee is $200 per attendee and will cover the cost of the reception and symposium meals, meeting spaces, audio/visual needs, and other supplies. You may contact the orgnization with any concerns about the fee being charged.  

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL & FAMILY SOCIAL: Oct. 26, 6 - 8:30 pm

The Patient and Family Gathering attendee welcome social will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the New York Marriott East Side Hotel.  This is a time for medical professionals, the patients, and their families to meet and share their experiences with ECD.  The dinner is also a way for the ECDGA to say thank you to all the dedicated members and physicians who continue the fight against ECD. We would be pleased and grateful for your attendance.

PATIENT & FAMILY GATHERING: Oct. 27, 8 am - 5 pm

The ECD Patient and Family Gathering, scheduled for  Friday, October 27, 2017, will be an opportunity for patients to hear from medical professionals about treatments, trials, and research.  We would be honored if you could attend and share your knowledge with patients and family members.

The registration fee will be waived for the Patient and Family Gathering for those who are attending the ECD Medical Symposium.  However, we do ask that you indicate in your registration if you will be able to attend this function to allow the ECDGA to plan appropriately.

LODGING INFORMATION

Events will be held at the New York Marriott East Side Hotel. Sleeping rooms have been blocked for event attendees at a rate of $349 for each night.  To find out current conversion rates from USD to other currencies, please see a currency conversion calculator. 

You are responsible for making your room reservations at this hotel event link http://cwp.marriott.com/nycea/ecdga2017. Staying at this location will be the most convenient location for attendees and will help the ECDGA meet its contractual obligations. Please note that anyone needing a double room should indicate this at registration, as these rooms are in short supply.
