Our Mishkan T'filah Dedication, This Friday February 17!
Join us as we dedicate our new copies of
Mishkan T'filah, Friday, February 17, 7:30 pm!
All are invited to attend an especially joyous Shabbat service and festive oneg. During this special service, we will be dedicating one hundred new copies of our prayer book,
Mishkan T'filah. These siddurs were made possible through donations to the
Michael A. Heft Memorial Fund. Michael was a lifelong learner and regularly enjoyed Shabbat services and Saturday morning Torah study with his TBC friends. It is fitting that we honor his memory with these beautiful books. We wish on this night to fill the sanctuary so full that we will need to share prayer books!!
Bonnie, Ethan and Sarah Heft are sponsoring the festive oneg in memory of Michael Heft. Thank you!!!

Update on TBC Security Activities
From Cindy Baulsir, TBC President: Many of us have been following the news about threatening letters recently sent to Jewish Community Centers and congregations. I want you to know that TBC takes these issues very seriously and we are taking constructive steps to keep our environment both secure and welcoming. While we have always had a good working relationship with the Redding Police Department, over the past few weeks we have kept in close touch with them, as well as with agencies that provide intelligence about potential threats to Jews and to society. Don't be surprised if you notice that the Redding Police have increased their patrols and surveillance - it's what we want. We are also updating our existing procedures and processes. We all want to make sure TBC is a comfortable place where everyone can learn, pray and be part of our vibrant community.

The Gift of Coping Skills: Helping to Build Your Child's Resiliency Tuesday, February 21, 7:30 pm
Please join us on Tuesday, February 21, at 7:30 pm for a program on "
The Gift of Coping Skills: Helping to Build Your Child's Resiliency (and Restore Your Sanity)"
We all know our children need coping skills when they don't get what they want. This includes anything from not making a team, not getting a good grade, not being invited to a party, not getting to go to a friend's house, to having to deal with limits on their screen time and technology usage. This interactive presentation will use your real-life everyday situations in which coping is NEEDED. You will leave with practical suggestions, skills and possibly a new perspective.
Leslie Cohen-Rubury is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who also has a Masters in Special Education. She has 35 years experience working with families and children in school and community settings. She also has a private practice in Redding, CT, providing individual, family, and marital therapy.
