NOTES FROM KRISTEN!

Happy Wednesday Company Families! 

What a fun weekend! The lock in was awesome! With our first competition just around the corner, we have a lot of costume details to finalize with everyone- please be sure to read below about tights, shoes, earrings, etc to make sure you have everything you need in time! 

Special Note on Footed Tights! The Company we have been using for footed tights no longer carries that line of tights and we only found out today! We are currently in the process of locating a new footed tight brand for Company dancers to use. As a result, in order for complete uniformity, everyone in a routine with footed tights will need to purchase a new pair of the new brand once we have them in stock- we will let you know as soon as we have them available at the front desk. If you have recently purchased the footed tights and still have them in the package, you can return them if you would like to do so! Thank you! 

Extra Note! Please be sure you have your  hotel arrangements for the Wichita VIP competition and Nationals. You can stay anywhere you like!  Information regarding the host hotel for each one can be found at Vipdance.com! 

Here are some IMPORTANT notes/reminders! 
  • The Company Showcase is February 19th at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia. This is a required event for all dancers- mark your calendars! Updated information is in the block below!
  • We will set up another date for alterations in the near future for dancers who were unable to make the previous date- watch for the new date and time to come!
  • Don't forget about our CS Trivia Night Fundraiser coming up on March 3rd! Please see the block below for information on how to participate or attend! 
  • A list of required shoes for each routine is available on the Company webpage- scroll to the bottom of the page and click under the heading Shoes and Tights! Junior, Teen & Senior Hip Hop Shoes must be ordered by THIS FRIDAY- 2/10! See the form below! 
    All Shoes MUST be ordered through the front desk (with the exception of upper level tap shoes)  no later than February 15th!   Click here to view the list now!
  • A list of required  TIGHTS for each routine is available on the Company webpage- scroll to the bottom of the page and click under the heading Shoes and Tights!
    All students needing BODY TIGHTS (see list) must fill out the form below to place their order! These also need to be ordered by Friday, Feb 10th! Tights (with the exception of footed and body tights) are available to purchase at the front desk!
  • Pre-Company Hairpieces- Please see the block below for information on where to order your curly hairpiece!
  • Company Earrings- See the block below for details!
  • Information about Company Make-Up is available to view on the Company Webpage! For everyone's convenience, we have kept the required make-up the same as last year! There are also links to videos on our CS youtube channel showing how to apply the make-up! 
  • See the Sunday Rehearsal Schedule Below! Note for Production Dancers: Please plan on a TENTATIVE rehearsal on Monday, February 20th- Presidents' Day, during the day!

COMPANY EARRINGS!
All of our dancers, Company and Pre-Company, wear our rhinestone Company earrings!  Many of you have these from last year, but anyone who is new to our team will need a pair. 

You receive one complimentary pair, after that you may purchase additional pairs. 

Replacement pairs are $5.00 for pierced and $7.00 for clip earrings (plus tax). 

If you are new and need a pair (or have lost yours and need to purchase a pair) please FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW with your dancer's name and if they need PIERCED or CLIP earrings.


JR. SR. & TEEN HIP HOP SHOES!
Please fill out the form below to let us know the size you would like us to order! The cost for Teen & Junior Hip Hop shoes is $25 plus tax and the cost for Senior Hip Hop shoes is $20 plus tax. (Cost varies due to the cost of the overall costumes per routine!)

Please note! Each dancer is responsible for ordering their own hairpiece and they need to be ordered soon to ensure they arrive in time! 


COMPANY SHOWCASE UPDATE- FEB 19
This year we will be doing the Company Showcase a little differently. Instead of treating it as a performance, we are going to use it as a workday on the stage. After much deliberation, we decided this would be a better use of everyone's time.
  • Each group will have an allotted amount of time on the stage to do their dance and make adjustments as needed (much like our staging rehearsals for recital). Parents are welcome to watch but it will not be a performance per say. 
  • We are finalizing the schedule now and you can expect an email soon with exact times.  We will start at 1pm with Pre-Company and end with our oldest dancers finishing up in the evening.
  • We hold our showcase on the stage at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia (due to no access to a rentable stage in the Warrensburg area). 

Please Note! This is a required event for ALL dancers! It will be held at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia- please plan accordingly!

First: Download Team App onto your smartphone.

Second: Launch Team App.

Then follow these steps:

1. Sign-up to Team App.
 You'll be sent an email to confirm your registration.

2. Log in. Then search for Center Stage Company and request access to the group(s) that apply to you.

For example, everyone should request access to join the All Company group and then all of the group classes/ routines that you/ your dancer are in! 

We will use this App to send push notifications to your phone to give everyone immediate need-to-know information- especially during the competition season! 

If you don't have a smartphone, reply to this email so you can be added manually and you'll receive email notifications instead of push notifications to your phone.
