a workshop on transit fundamentals
Whether you’re a transit fan or transit skeptic, this workshop is for you. Learn how transit works so you can shape Greenwood’s transit future. With lots of time for questions and answers, you’ll walk out the door with tools to think about transit and its impact on Greenwood. During this fun, interactive workshop on the basics of transit planning, you’ll learn:
- what principles create a good transit system
- transit options for Greenwood
- how new technologies (like Uber and driverless cars) fit into the mobility mix
- why transit is an important part of planning for roads and bridges
This workshop is free, but registration is required. Light breakfast will be provided.
Michelle Poyourow is a national expert and consultant in public transit planning and policy. She specializes in managing large network redesigns and leading community conversations about transit. Through the firm Jarrett Walker & Associates, Michelle has recently led network planning projects for Indianapolis, Richmond, Boulder, and Anchorage, as well as for smaller towns and rural areas.
