PCR Students Highlighted for National School Choice Week
Providence Cristo Rey High School senior, Kristina McKinley, spoke with WTHR Channel 13 News about how school choice has positively impacted her life. She cited dual credit opportunities, small class sizes, and our Corporate Work Study program as her main reasons for choosing Providence Cristo Rey.

Two other Providence Cristo Rey students were able to speak to Indiana state legislators about how school choice has benefited their lives. 

Mayor Hogsett Presents "Think Award" to Robotics Team
On January 7-8, more than 50 high school robotics teams competed in the 2017 Indianapolis VEX Robotics Competition. Our Green Team won the Think Award for their outstanding quality of programming. PCR junior, Omar Ramirez, is the lead programmer for Green Team. 

Mayor Joe Hogsett presented the team with their award and said, " "I'm proud to honor these students who are bringing their love of STEM (and a few trophies) to their school."  Congratulations to our robotics club members and coaches! They will be competing in the statewide competition on February 25th. 

DECA Team Advances to State Competition
Once again, the PCRHS DECA team had a strong showing at the district level competition. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. Congratulations to our four state qualifiers: Isabel Lopez, Omar Ramirez,, A'Jewelle Johnson, and Yoselin Martinez - our district champion!

Thank you to Indiana University - Bloomington for sending students from the Kelley School of Business to help our juniors and seniors prepare for the ACT! Students are receiving prep workbooks and tutoring free of charge.   We celebrated our second quarter honor roll students and work study semester awards! PCRHS will receive $500 from the Super Service Challenge! Thank you to our Corporate Work Study Partner, MJ Insurance, for submitting their PCR service project to the Super Service Challenge! Volunteers from MJ planned and funded a field day for our Corporate Work Study Training Camp.
