Paraco/Kosco and Heritagenergy Partner with United Way to Donate 2,000 Gallons of Oil to Community

In an ongoing effort to help local residents in need, Paraco/Kosco and Heritagenergy have generously donated 2,000 gallons of fuel oil (1,000 gallons from each company) to the United Way of Ulster County for distribution to Ulster County residents who qualify for fuel assistance.  Paraco/Kosco has been involved with the fuel assistance program since 1998, and Heritagenergy came on board in 2009.

Barry Motzkin, Regional General Manager Paraco/Kosco, explains why his company is involved with this program, "United Way partner agencies help many families who struggle financially, and we are pleased to be in a position to help those families."  Ken Davenport, COO Heritagenergy, agrees, "As a local, family run company, we are committed to giving back to our community. This is one of the ways we do that." The fuel assistance program began in 1998, and in total has distributed over 30,000 gallons of fuel to families throughout Ulster County.

Individuals needing fuel oil assistance should call one of the following agencies to apply:
    • Catholic Charities: 845-340-9170
    • Family of Woodstock: 845-331-7080
    • People's Place: 845-338-4030
    • Salvation Army: 845-331-1803
    • Ulster County Community Action: 845-338-8750
