  • First annual CoMo Cow Lip-Sync Competition is March 15th! You and your group will create a lip-sync routine to be performed in hopes of achieving the eternal CoMo Cow Glory for both yourselves and your school! The winning team will be awarded the Traveling Trophy, to be kept at your school for the year. Sign up in the Activities office by Wednesday, February 22nd. 
  • Camp Salsa (CPS Summer School Course Urban Ecology) is accepting applications for their 8-week summer program! Camp Salsa is a collaborative academic/employment effort between the C.A.R.E. program, MU Family Impact Center, Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture, and Columbia Public Schools.  Camp Salsa began in 2015.
    Camp Salsa provides opportunities for about 15 local high school students to work from beginning to end on a project to foster skills that can be transferred into the workforce.  The main components of the Camp Salsa experience are:
    *  Grow:  trainees will learn to maintain a garden.
    *  Cook:  trainees will work in a team to research and produce a unique salsa recipe.
    * Sell:  trainees will learn to create a business plan, package their salsa, create a brand, label their product, and then sell their salsa.
    Upon completion of the first four weeks of the program, students will receive one high school class credit from Columbia Public Schools (Urban Ecology).  In addition, students will be paid for working hours for eight weeks of the program through the C.A.R.E. program.

  • Get your act together for Capers 2017! Capers, the RBHS talent show, will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 7:00 pm. Capers auditions will be held in the band room on Tuesday, March 14th at 4:30 pm. You can pick up an application in the activities office and in the performing arts office. All applications are due by 4:15 pm on Friday, March 3rd. 
  • All NHS Applications due to Mrs. EuDaly by Friday, March 3rd. If you're interested in being an officer next year, applications must be turned in by Thursday, 2/16.
  • The Annual Rock Bridge Girls Basketball Chili/Pasta Supper Fundraiser is this Friday Night!  For $5 enjoy a supper of chili or pasta, side, and a drink all while supporting the Girls Basketball program.  The Supper is from 4:30-7:30 pm in the Rock Bridge cafeteria.  Stick around after supper and cheer on the Boys Basketball program as they take on Rockhurst in the RB Gym.
  •  This Saturday will be a   Pink Game for Rock Bridge Girls Basketball!  The Bruins will take on Jackson starting at 1:00 pm.  Wear pink and help raise awareness for Breast Cancer research.
  • HOSA will be selling bracelets for $1 in the media center to support mental health Feb. 13-16.
  • Global Village is a school-wide multicultural event that allows our students to exhibit and explore many cultures around the world.  This is the 25th anniversary of the Global Village.  While approximately 250 students are involved in the organization and presentation, the entire student body benefits from this celebration of diversity.  Sign up on line with your CPS ID at   https://goo.gl/forms/D26JVoqNnjoBOFQs1

  • Wednesday, Feb. 22 (A)--International Fashion Show (at both lunches)  See Mrs. Ben-Ayed to sign up.
  • Thursday, Feb. 23  (B)International Dance (at both lunches)  See Mrs. Sethi to sign up.
  • Friday, Feb 24 (A) - GLOBAL VILLAGE 
  • Are you interested in participating in the Global Village fashion show?  See Mrs. Ben-Ayed in room 320 for details.
  • JUNIORS - If you have not yet signed up for your Individual Advisement meeting with your counselor, you need to do so ASAP.  All current Juniors MUST sign up for an appointment to meet with their counselor during the month of February.  During your Individual Advisement Appointment, you and your counselor will go over your course requests for next year to ensure that you are fulfilling credits needed for graduation. Additionally, your counselor will review your post-secondary plans to help make sure you are on track to meet your post-RBHS goals.  Individual Advisement appointments will take place Tuesday, February 7th through Monday, February 27th and should be scheduled before/after school, during lunch, or during your AUT/study hall block.  Please sign up online through the link to your counselor's calendar available at the bottom of the Guidance à Registration webpage: http://www.cpsk12.org/domain/6259
  • Parking permits are $20 for February.  
  • COMMUNITY CLOTHING DRIVE! Donate new or gently used clothing to help students across Columbia Public High Schools and other members of the community in need. The Community Clothing Drive will last until February 23rd. Please leave your donations in the bins located outside of the Main Office.   
  • Don't miss out on an opportunity to win up to $500! This essay contest is in honor of a former Rock Bridge student and is specifically for R.B. students!  You can find more information here Essay Contest  
  • The stadium is an active construction site.  The only path to the turf/track is North of the Baseball shed to the North West opening in the fence.  For no reason should a fence be moved or jumped.
  • Interested in AVID for next year?  Pick up an application from the Counseling Office and return when completed.

COLLEGE VISITS
  • FRESHMEN STUDENTS - Leadership In Practice  program is now accepting applications.  Leadership in Practice was developed by the Missouri Chamber Foundation to engage Missouri high school students in hands on, real world leadership training. The program is divided into five areas:  global leadership, civic leadership, economic leadership, ethical leadership and personal leadership.  The   2017 Leadership In Practice program is set for June 25-28, 2017.   The application period will run from   January 1, 2017 to April 1, 2017.   • SENIORS:  Salute to Seniors Community Scholarships applications are now available!
