TEXAS BLUEBONNET PROGRAM
5th grade student Hailey Morgan reads one of her book reports from the Bluebonnet Program. Students participating in the program, read a minimum of 5 books for pleasure from a preselected list and write a report for each. Students read as many as 20 books through this unique program which encourages reading for pleasure.
CHALLENGING CLAY
Mrs.
Fowler
's students learned about land and water forms by manipulating clay and water. They then had to research the various places on the maps.
JUDAIC PATTERN PUZZLE
6th graders enjoyed working together to put together a giant floor puzzle created and gifted to the school by Judaic artist, David Moss. The puzzle creates a symmetrical pathway, depicting days 1-6 of creation in vivid, simplified shapes. After completing the puzzle, students designed and are working on adding color to the pieces for the day 7-Shabbat section, which they will add on to David Moss' work.
TORCH VISIT
This week the Men's Seminar students met with Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe at the Torah Outreach Resource Center of Houston. It was a fantastic and informative session.
FROGS, FROGS, EVERYWHERE!

GEOMETRIC KITES
This week the 9 th grade Pre-AP Geometry class learned about the properties of a kite. Students applied what they learned by making their own kites.
GO TEAM GO!
Lower School Principal Helene Lubel joined the fun and cheered on students participating in the School Marathon Program. As of today, students have completed 8 out of 26 miles!
ANGLE EXERCISES
As an introduction for the angles unit, Mrs. Rosenzweig reviewed angle definitions by assigning students to construct angles with their body. Students really enjoyed the activity and mastered how to measure and construct angles quickly.
