January 26, 2017

One of the great aspects of Chaminade Julienne is the wonderful community not only of students, parents, faculty and staff, but far reaching to our alumni, relatives, neighbors, religious and friends. And, one of our annual events that celebrates community is just around the corner. This year's CJ Fish Fry will be on  Saturday, March 18  from  6-11 p.m . Not only is this a great opportunity to come together, reconnect with friends, and enjoy some great food, beverages, games and silent auction, but it's also a fun time to volunteer and/or support the silent auction by contributing items.

It truly takes the entire community to create a successful event, which directly benefits our students through the Blue Green Club. This parent organization gives everything back to students in the form of support for athletics, performing arts, the After Prom, and more!

If you can help by contributing an item to the silent auction, please contact Marcia Northern at [email protected]
If you can give a couple of hours to volunteer either at the event, or in preparation, please click here.

Finally, this year we are not using printed tickets for admission to the Fish Fry. Online pre-sale registration is $15 and is available on the  CJ website, while admission at the door is $20.  Thank you for being a part of our community, and for being a part of this great event. See you there!

MINISTRY & SERVICE

From the Chaplain's Office
Next  Wednesday, Feb. 1 , we will have an All School Liturgy. We will celebrate Catholic Schools Week and reflect upon our vocation call. The Trappist monk Thomas Merton once wrote, " For me to be a saint means to be myself. Therefore the problem of sanctity and salvation is in fact the problem of finding out who I am and of discovering my true self." Of course, this means discovering our true selves as God has made each of us to be.  And for me, this is vocation. Let's pray for our students, that they may all work to discover their vocation and grow into the person God has made them to be. We hope that you will join us for Mass on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m.
