Are you or someone you know a family caregiver for an ailing parent, child, spouse, or other loved one? If so you're likely to face a host of new responsibilities, many of which are unfamiliar or intimidating. At times, you may feel overwhelmed and alone. But despite its challenges, care giving can also be rewarding. And there are a lot of things you can do to make the care giving process easier and more pleasurable for both you and your loved one. Caregivers who receive encouragement and guidance to bolster their own mental well-being increases the likelihood for successful care of their loved one at home.
Summit Adult Day Services, in operation since 1977, is the first of its kind in the Akron area. For nearly 40 years, our program continues to evolve, grow and change to best meet the needs of older adults. We are a free-standing facility, not attached or affiliated with a nursing home. Our purpose is to help keep older adults independent, social, and in their homes.
