Missouri Minimum Wage Increase
In Effect for 2017

Missouri's current minimum wage is $7.70 per hour. All businesses are required to pay at minimum, the $7.70 per hour rate, except retail and service businesses whose annual gross sales are less than $500,000.

In addition, overtime compensation must also be paid at a rate not less than one and one-half times a covered employee's regular rate for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek.

The Missouri Minimum Wage poster discusses tipped employees, record keeping, penalties, and complaints. To access the full Missouri Minimum Wage poster,  click here.

Breaking News: Revised Form I-9 Now Available

On Nov. 14, USCIS released a revised version of  Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification . Since Jan. 22, 2017, employers are required to use the revised form.  Employers  should continue to follow existing storage and retentions rules for all of their previously completed Forms I-9. Read the USCIS News Release, and visit I-9 Central for more information.

OSHA 300-A Posting Period
(Feb 1 - Apr 30)

All employers required to keep Form 300, the Injury and Illness Log,  must post Form 300A, the annual summary of job-related injuries and illnesses, in a workplace common area by Feb. 1, 2017.

Form 300A reports the total number of fatalities, missed workdays, job transfers or restrictions, and injuries and illnesses as recorded on the company's Form 300. It also includes the number of employees and the hours they worked for the year. If there were no recordable injuries or illnesses, a company must still post the form, with zeroes on the appropriate lines.

Workplace Relationships Policy
null
The Workplace Relationships/Romance policy establishes boundaries as to how relationships are conducted during work hours and  within the working environment.

Individuals in supervisory or managerial roles are subject to more stringent requirements under this policy due to their status as role models, their access to sensitive information, and their ability to affect the terms and conditions of employment of individuals in subordinate positions.

This policy includes a set of procedures that all employees are expected to comply with. To  access the full Workplace Relationships/Romance policy,  click here .
