Construction Supervisor Licensing Course (CSL) 12 Hour

This Construction Supervisor License Course (CSL) 12 Hour is approved by BBRS (Course #CS-4404) for the required topics below:

Here is a description of our Construction Supervisor License Course (CSL) 12 Hour content:

Workplace Safety -   Fall Protection - The majority of injuries and fatalities are the result in falls. Topics covered range from the duty to provide, methods of protection as well as equipment inspectional obligations. Course content is taken from our OSHA 10 courses we provide for the construction industry.

Business Practices /  Project Management - This program is designed to give builders and remodelers a vital, fundamental overview of project management with a focus on the two most important outcomes: profitability for the contractor and satisfaction by the customer. We will stress the crucial importance of those two concepts to a successful, sustainable business, and will walk through the key operations one must employ to achieve this success. From proper planning to having systems in place to manage the fixed and anticipated details, a smoothly-run, carefully planned project is a profitable one, and also should deliver on the expectations of the client. The course will give a summary of essential project management components, including preparation and estimating, production, administration, and client hand-off.

Lead Safety - "Dangers of Dust". Looking at how the dust we breathe on our projects can lead to long term illnesses. Not to be confused with RRP, this course looks at lead painted surfaces as well as Crystalline Silica on where these items are to be found, how they work medically in our systems and how to avoid these harmful particulates.

Code Review - Currently we are reviewing the IRC 2009 Chapter 1 as we await the 9th edition.

Energy - This class will introduce you to the IECC 2015 which went into effect on August 12, 2016. The energy code has been updated with MA Amendments ahead of the 9th edition of the MA Building Code. Changes as well as new items that this code brings to the field are discussed during this module.

Elective - "Working Hard to Go Broke" - Fast paced module that looks at estimating in a different viewpoint. How to arrive at your Daily Rate will keep you from missing key elements in your pricing strategy. Access to templates will allow you to apply the concepts discussed in class at your own pace.

Payment must be made at time of reservation in order to save your seat. Our classes are kept small and we can not allow "at door" walk ins.
