Dear St. John Paul II Families,
First of all, I want to congratulate a number of our students…we had an AMAZING weekend of Saint accomplishments! Our Varsity Girls’ Basketball team played an unbelievable game and truly are Champions! They displayed great character, determination and sportsmanship throughout their game on Saturday. Thank you to all of the fans in the stands. It was extremely special to experience the pride and support of so many families, alumni and students cheering on our team!
Also last weekend, many Middle School students participated in the St. Pius Academic Rally and they too did an AMAZING job bringing home 2nd Place Sweepstakes AND 2nd Place Significa Team! Congratulations to all the participants, who are listed in the article below, for representing StJPII so well.
These two events were a spectacular close to our Catholic Schools Week events. We are truly blessed here at St. John Paul II Catholic School, forming families of disciples and continuing to grow students academically and spiritually to do God’s will.
Have a blessed week,

MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS
Congratulations to our Lady Saints Varsity basketball team for going to the GHCAA Championship Finals as the #1 seed in the 3A South Division! Our team played an incredible game and displayed such athleticism and poise throughout all 4 quarters, but unfortunately lost in a controversial game ending shot by St. Laurence.
Our team showed sportsmanship and integrity and they are extremely proud ending their season with an overall District record of 12-3.
We are so proud of our Lady Saints!

Religious Books Needed
Help us help others! Good Steward Global Initiative is an organization that helps promote literacy by creating libraries around the world. Good Steward recently visited the Catholic basilica in Ladonga Yumbe, Uganda. The church expressed a great interest in establishing a library when Good Steward returns to Uganda this summer. Will you please help by donating religious books for the basilica’s library? The religious books can be copies of the Bible, children’s Bibles, books about saints, catechism books, devotionals/prayer books, etc. Books can be new or gently used. Please send your donations to StJPII between February 14-22. Thank you for your willingness to serve others!
