Leadership Council Highlights
Laura Hamby, Moderator

As the NACCC fiscal year ends March 31 st , I thought this would be a good time to discuss
Fair Share giving. As you know, all member churches are required to make an annual donation to the Shared Ministries Fund (SMF), which supports our operations and programming. T he  Fair Share amount that each church is encouraged to give is $13.00/member. Of course, Fair Share Plus giving ($15/member) is welcome and critical to the work of the NACCC. We sincerely thank churches that contributed to SMF this fiscal year.

Church giving, much like personal gifts, is an individual choice and a matter for each church to decide. All contributions are welcome, and any amount will suffice to maintain active membership in the NACCC. I bring it up here that you might consider encouraging your church and churches within your regional fellowships to remember their annual contribution to the SMF, thus maintaining active membership, commitment and participation in the association. Likewise, churches may want to consider an increase in annual contributions.

We continue to be thankful for your gifts and God's goodness.

Thomas Edison Congregational Church of Fort Myers, FL collected stuffed toys, pajamas, diapers, and other necessities for foster children who were removed from their home. The project is an extension of INASMUCH, a collaboration with 7 other churches to provide a day of service to their community. This is their 5th year participating in the event.

In support of our member churches, the NACCC leadership has organized several workshops to be presented during the Annual Meeting & Conference (AMC), June 24-27, 2017. One exciting workshop is titled, What are young parents looking for in a church? Karen Massey, a professional in Christian Education, will answer key questions, important to church growth, such as; What do young parents want from their church? What does Sunday school look like in this new century? Karen is the Associate Professor of Faith Development at the McAfee School of Theology, Mercer University, Atlanta, GA. This along with many other workshops will be available at the AMC. We hope to see you there! (More information on Workshops)
Thank You!
Varn Philbrook, President, Board of Governors

I'm excited to report that the Christmas appeal not only reached the goal set for this year- but surpassed it by over $10,000. On behalf of the Board of Governors and all leadership-THANK YOU!  We are so grateful to all our donors and encourage you to visit our website, speak to the staff and examine the programs offered. These are the operations and programs you so generously funded.

As we head into the last quarter of our fiscal year we hope that our NACCC churches will follow the generosity of our individual donors and consider increasing their donation to the NACCC through their Fair Share contribution to the Shared Ministries Fund. Your leadership, staff and volunteers are working hard to make the NACCC all that it can be. Please show your support by sending in your churches Fair Share gift today!
