First off, a huge thank you to everyone who participated in our Shape DTK 2020 consultations, including the highly engaged crowd of 200 at our community forum on Jan. 17th (pictured above). Read downtownee Kayla Zawiski's take on it.

As we work on turning your feedback into an exciting new action plan, there are plenty of ways to keep your support and enthusiasm for DTK flowing. February offers artistic trips into marginalized communities, fundraisers that give boosts to local change agents, at least one belly-busting food & drink spread, and many other ways to stir your creative juices. So b undle up & keep embracing your community!

A SLICE OF SYRIAN EXPERIENCE

MT Space presents Adrenaline, an original piece about the psychological scars of war and loss by Syrian theatre artist Ahmad Mire'e, and Sultan Basha, a one-woman show reflecting on the Syrian Revolution, from Feb. 16-18th. |DETAILS|

DUELLING PIANOS TO DO GOOD

The 5th instalment of PlugIn's philanthropic event series turns the Walper Hotel's newly renovated 2nd-floor lounge into a friendly improvisational competition, with duelling piano players taking requests, cracking jokes & facing off. |DETAILS|

Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery's 5th annual Feast event features Pow Wow Cafe chef Shawn Adler creating tapas-style food & drink pairings that draw inspiration from the current exhibit of Kent Monkman's The Four Continents. | DETAILS |
