February Opportunities |
February is a busy time for area schools, as they wrap up winter sports regular season play mid-month, followed by post season action into early March. Hockey is in full swing, as you will see from the events schedule near the bottom of our newsletter. Volleyball, basketball and racquetball tournaments are on the docket, as well as the Wenatchee Valley Sportsmen Show late month. And of course night skiing at Mission Ridge on Saturdays continues through the month. Whether participating or spectating, February is a great time in the Wenatchee Valley to get out and enjoy!

| Saturday Nights at the Ridge |
Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort continues their night skiing and Music at the Mountain Series every Saturday night thru February. Night skiing runs from 4-8pm, and the music kicks in around 6pm in Hampton Lodge. Check our events calendar for details.

| Wild Regular Season Ends in February |
Only 4 regular season home games remain this season for the Wenatchee Wild. February 3rd & 4th they host Surrey, followed by a pair against Langley on the 17th & 18th. Then it's on to the playoffs. When the home playoff schedule becomes available, we'll post it on our events calendar.

| Rails & Ales |
An epic evening of skiing, snowboarding, music and fun, this annual event in downtown Wenatchee attracts hundreds of spectators. Trucks dump snow on the street while groomers shape it into runs, and rails are brought down from the ski hill for boarders and skiers to use for tricks. Located on Orondo between Wenatchee Avenue & Columbia Street.

| Youth Hockey Tournaments at TTC |
Town Toyota Center will play host to 2 WAHA Apple Cup Tournaments February 18-20. The Squirts (10U) and the PeeWees (12U) have contests scheduled thru President's Day on both the Community Ice and Arena sheets.

The annual Kiss My Ice tournament is February 25 & 26 at Town Toyota Center. The tournament typically draws several teams from throughout the Pacific Northwest and is hosted by the Wenatchee Banshees Women's Hockey Team.

Youth Basketball Tournament February 24-26
|
Eastmont Parks & Recreation tournament for boys and girls with 4th-8th grade divisions competing. Venues include Eastmont Junior High, Sterling, Kenroy, Clovis & Lee schools.

Presidents' Day Camp
|
Elite Hoop Effects has some winter basketball camp opportunities this month, including a Presidents' Day Camp at Cascade Christian Academy. There are separate sessions for Rugrats (K-3rd grade), 4th-7th, and 8th-high school. Oregon Duck Jordan Loera is the special guest. Information/registration. Also, Rugrats Nation School of Hoops (K-3rd) is every Sunday from 1-2:30 at CCA.

The 4th annual event will be at Town Toyota Center February 24-26. It offers consumers a prime opportunity to see the latest in outdoor gear, the newest in fishing boats, motors and accessories, info from guides and lodges from all over the Pacific Northwest, and a chance for kids to fish for free in 'Lunker Lake'.
