Greetings everyone and Happy New Year! I wanted to let you know about a few important announcements regarding voting for the DG Council as well as upcoming events.

1. If you are a full member of the Guild, the ability to vote for Council is included in your membership. The DG Council makes many of the decisions that impact us all. Additionally there are five new positions for Regional Council Members to better represent the entire country. These Regional Council Members are only voted on by those in their region, so be sure to vote for one person in that area as well. The election closes on Monday, February 27 at 1pm. Ballots have been emailed, or mailed to, you depending on your preference.

2. I'm hoping to see many of you at the February 5 NNPN event we're co-hosting with Philadelphia/DE members. We start at noon at The Drake (302 South Hicks Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102 - directly behind the Kimmel Center). Be sure to RSVP to Jacqueline Goldfinger ( [email protected]) if you're planning on attending.

3. Ever been to the DG Annual Meeting? If not, you should go! Monday, February 27th at the French Institute Alliance Francaise (22 East 60th Street, NYC) beginning promptly at 2:00 pm. 4. SAVE THE DATE! We have two very exciting events in the upcoming months (more info to follow) so put them on your calendar!

First-ever NJ Musical Theatre Composer/Lyricist/Librettist Exchange: meet potential collaborators, or just learn more about writing a musical.

Sunday, June 11

How To Submit Your Play So It Gets Produced: a workshop talking about best practices in sharing your work, networking, record keeping, and more.

I'm going to be on the road for this one, doing it twice in one day: at 11am in Burlington (would love to have PA members cross the river for this one!) and then crossing the state at 4pm in Jersey City. Come to the one closer to you - and be out in time to watch the Tony Awards!
