On Monday, January 30th, we reconvened for a productive fourth week of the 2017 legislative session. Committee and subcommittee hearings were in full swing as we considered a number of bills. We also took Senate floor votes on issues regarding alcohol regulations in regards to craft breweries, as well as, healthcare initiatives. Please find my full report of last weeks happenings below.

- SR 50- Columbus Day at the Capitol
- SR 120- Recognizing and commending Macon County Sheriff Charles Marion Cannon on the 2 occasion of his retirement after serving for 40 years
- SR 121- Recognizing and commending Waleisah Wilson on her outstanding commitment to criminal justice reform
- SR 123- Recognizing Columbus Technical College's extraordinary academics and the work of its 4 experienced advisory boards ensure that students receive a quality education and learn skills 5 to help them transition into successful employees.
Today we return to the Capitol for legislative day 13. As the pace continues to pick up, more and more legislation will be reviewed until midnight on the last day of session, scheduled for March 30th.
