Dear Members:
As we start the month of February, our organization is in full preparation mode for our annual conference. For me, this year marks my tenth consecutive conference that I have participated in. Over the past 10 years, some of the best information I have obtained in the supply chain field has come of it as a direct result of attending the conference. I urge you to spend the day learning and networking.
When you consider the cost some other organization sponsored conferences or events, the value that ISM-New York offers is beyond comparison. If you haven't already taken the opportunity, I urge you to visit our website at
www.ismny.com and learn more information about this year's conference.
Another great event that's coming up later this month is our annual economic review meeting. Once again we're going to be hosted by NYU. We feature a panel-led discussion on the economy and the ISM-New York Report on Business. This meeting is one of the best attended of the year and gives a picture of the local New York metro area and the business conditions around us. Don't miss it!
There always is the opportunity to participate in our professional development program. Once again, I encourage you to visit our website where information is posted for the month of February and March on our current offerings.
Lastly, we begin our search for ISM-New York members who may be interested in participating as volunteers on our Board of Directors. If you have an interest and want to participate and give back to an organization that gives so much to its members, please contact our Executive Director, Julienne Ryan via email or call the ISM-New York office at (800) 975-0725 and indicate your interest.
Coincidentally, I am serving in my 10
th year as a Board Member or support staff. The experience I've had far exceeded my expectations. I met many people over the years, that I may not have known otherwise. It is a worthwhile endeavor.
I hope to see you at the February meeting and our Annual Conference in March.

Dear ISM-NY Members,
As we look around, there are many companies, big and small, that are creating web-based tools to make working more efficient, effective and smart.
To name a few, Workday is an upcoming ERP platform that has gained lots of traction with small, mid-size and large firms, offering a suite of software including Financial, HR and P2P.
Additionally, there are many start-up firms which are entering into the payroll services space. One of the traditional based US firms, Ceridian, offers a highly sophisticated web-based platform, Dayforce HCM, that
offers a variety of features and global adoption.
There are so many innovative products that are entering the technological space. At times, you may ask yourself how do I keep up with them?
ISM-NY is a great reference point where you can gain perspective by attending the webinars/meetings, reaching out to fellow member or joining a committee.
Networking is the key to a successful career.
As the year goes on, I hope that you will take advantage of ISM-NY and all the offerings that it provides to its member.
I hope to see you at a function real soon!
Regards,
Tandra Davis
