I have been hearing some very strange and unusual rumors spreading around town. I for one, do not like to deal in gossip and rumors, and since I started this one, I'd better put it all out there and let you all know what is finally going on. Topaz Quilting & Embroidery has been growing in both inventory and class sizes. Sadly, some people have had to miss out on classes and group meetings because we just don't have the room. Well, I'm here to tell you that the rumors are true. We are moving into a larger location. Contracts are signed, and work has started to get our new location prepared for our move in.
So our location is going to be at 770 Smithridge Dr. #100, Reno, NV 89502 (A business park behind the Trader Joe's & Stein Mart Shopping Center)
Our expected move in date is going to be sometime in April 2017. I wish we could be more specific, but because of some work that needs to be done to prepare the shop for our needs, the contractor is not going to be able to give us an exact date until the permits are set and work actually begins.
This is a very exciting time for us. It may also be a bit confusing and a little hectic. I'm apologizing now for any inconvenience the move will cause. We will try to make this move as easy as possible for both our customers & friends. Stay tuned and I'll keep you updated on how we're progressing . . .

Kimberbell Dealer Exclusive Classes . . .
Kimberbell is an "up and coming" embroidery design company. Kim Christopherson has been the driving force of Kimberbell Designs for many years. This year, Kim and her design team has branched out into a avenue exclusive to dealers. She is calling this first release Volume 1. Volume 1 features twelve exceptional project designs for a 5x7 hoop or smaller. The projects include completed, in-the-hoop designs, free-standing lace, and even a cute table runner. When you sign up for the class, you will receive the design(s) required for the class, directions and supply list. We will feature a new project every month and offer the class a couple times a month to make it convenient for your time schedule (hopefully).

Saturday, February 25, 2017 - 12:00pm to 3:00pm

Note
: The PDF instructions & Design File(s) will be emailed to you so you can print the directions out and load the design(s) to your machine. A supply list will be included as part of the PDF instructions. You will want to review them prior to class so you can make sure you have everything you need. If materials will be supplied for the project, you will receive them the day of class.

Celebration of Life . . .
Many of you may know of the recent passing of our dear friend Kathy Stanley. Nothing has really been done in a way of a memorial and we really feel we need to do something to say goodbye and honor Kathy's life. We will be holding a small get together at our shop. If you would like to bring your stories, projects and fond memories to share with us, we'd love to see you.
