Nan Hass Feldman has a solo show at Three Stones Gallery at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage (11 Main Street, Concord, MA) thru May 5, 2017.

Percy Fortini-Wright has a solo exhibition, "Identity Crisis," at the Rafius Fane Gallery (460C Harrison Ave. Ste.#C24, Boston, MA). The show runs thru Feb. 24. There will be a Private Art viewing on Feb. 16 - Thursday, 7pm-8:30p. Enjoy the final night of this art exhibition with Percy, in the South End's SoWa district. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided. *This event is open to a small group, please mention if bringing a guest with rsvp.

Wendy Hale, Bill Lane, Kristin Stashenko, Marilyn Swift and Nancy Walton will be in the New England Watercolor Society's 2017 Signature Members Show at the Guild of Boston Artists (162 Newbury Street, Boston, MA) thru February 26. Gallery talks every Sunday, 2:00 - 3:00pm.

Mirela Kulovic has her first solo show "Fragments" at the Bromfield Gallery thru February 26, 2017. She is showing work from her series of 'Objects and Fragments'.

Barney Levitt's painting, 'Self Portrait In A Silver Ball', was juried into the International Guild of Realism Winter Salon Show. The show runs thru Feb. 18 at the The Marshall Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ.

Susan O'Brien McLean has work featured in Marin-Price Galleries' Small Formats exhibit in Chevy Chase, MD, thru February 28.

Judith Monteferrante will be on the 2017 Annual Terravita Art Studio Tour, February 25, 10-5 and February 26, 12-5 pm at her home in Scottsdale, AZ.

Lynn St. Clair's watercolor painting was accepted to hang at the Capital in Atlanta, GA from November 2016-April 2017.

Sandra Samaha has a retrospective of her collages including monoprints with collage, aerial paintings with collage and large cut paper collages at the Community Art Project (CAP Gallery/2nd Floor, Wells Fargo, 260 Ocean Ave, Laguna Beach, CA) until Feburary 17, 2017.

WORKSHOPS

On February 17-19, Joyce Zavorskas is teaching a class in Non-toxic Etching. This class is sponsored by the Creative Art Center in Chatham but is taught in Orleans.

Charles Fine Arts invites you to submit digital images of paintings for an upcoming exhibition entitled FORM FACE AND FIGURE. The show will be the exploration of the figure as an art form and will include portraiture as well. Media: oil paintings, watercolor paintings, pastel works, sculpture three-dimensional and bas relief. Dimensions: paintings of all sizes will be considered, sculpture of a scale no larger than 30 inches in height. Paintings and works on paper must be framed or finished on all sides and wired for hanging. Sculpture must be presented with a pedestal or be wired for hanging. ArtsEmerson seeks original artwork to be used as companion promotional art for the upcoming theatrical concert performance Octavia E. Butler's PARABLE OF THE SOWER, based on the Afrofuturist novel of the same name. This call is open to all genres, although works of illustration are preferred. The National Park Service at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area in Northern California is hosting its fifteenth year of an Artist in Residence program and is now accepting applications. Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is 3 hours north of San Francisco just outside of Redding, California. The National Park's Artist-in Residence Program at Whiskeytown National Recreational Area offers established visual artists the opportunity to pursue their particular art form while being surrounded by the inspiring landscape of the park. The park provides a rustic cabin for participants for up to a three week residence. This residency focuses on landscape painting of Plein Air, impressionist and abstract styles. In exchange for the residency, we ask the artist to donate one painting of Whiskeytown that was produced during their stay. The selection process: Dr. Lauren Palmor, the Assistant Curator for American Art at the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, will juror this year's submission. The deadline for entry is February 28, 2017. Selected artists will be notified by park staff in mid-March, 2017. Selection is based on artistic merit, the statement of intent, and appropriateness to a National Park residency. The Mass Audubon Moose Hill Gallery is now accepting submissions for SPRING AWAKENINGS: The emergence, drama and magic of SRING is viewed and perceived in a myriad of ways. Share your insight and artistic inspiration of the natural world reawakening through your artwork. Let your creative expressions and interpretations reveal this rebirth in this nature theme. September 9, 2017 is the 34th Annual Codman Estate Fine Arts & Crafts Festival. Held at the beautiful Codman Estate in Lincoln, MA (just 20 minutes outside Boston), the Codman festival is a one day, juried festival featuring food, live music, and over 100 artisans. In previous years, exhibitors have commented on the loyal following of customers that come back year after year ready to purchase. Applications can be found here. Deadline: March 31, 2017.

October 14 & 15, 2017 is the 34th Annual Roseland Cottage Fine Arts & Crafts Festival. Held at the lovely Roseland Cottage in Woodstock, CT, the 2016 festival had over 8,000 people in attendance over two days. A variety of food vendors, live music, and 175 exhibiting artists make the Roseland Cottage Fine Arts & Crafts one of the leading juried arts & crafts festivals in New England. The Mass Audubon Moose Hill Gallery is now accepting submissions for SOLO NATURE EXHIBIT: Artists are invited to submit their "nature based" thematic proposal for the opportunity to exhibit their art work in an individual or partnered show. Please submit a written proposal of your theme accompanied by at least SEVEN examples of your work in a print format. The criteria for judging will include treatment of the subject matter, its relevance to nature, command of artist's individual craft and the ability to engage the viewer. The gallery can show 26-35 (16" X 20") framed pieces in an exhibit, but is not limited to these sizes, larger sizes can be accommodated. The curator will work with selected artist/s to hang the exhibit. The exhibit will run June 23- September 8. Deadline for submission is May 15, 2017. The 11th Aesthetica Art Prize is now open for entries, presenting an opportunity for emerging and established artists to further their involvement in the art world. OPPORTUNITY FUND. The BCC is excited to announce that their newest grant program, the Opportunity Fund, is now open. These grants will be smaller in scale, but more accessible than previous BCC grants have been. Grants will be made to individual artists for specific needs, such as materials, professional development costs, conference fees, and stipends for teaching artists. Applications will be available on a monthly basis 10 months out of the year. Applications will not be available in October and April, when other BCC grant opportunities are due. Applicants may request up to $1,000 in funding. $10,000 will be granted per month. Please see the application for more specific guidelines. You can find the application here.
