Alumni Basketball Players vs Current Lady Warriors

Over the Christmas break, Coach Martin invited alumni girls basketball players to join the current Lady Warriors for practice and lunch afterwards. "We had a great time," said Coach Martin. Campus Life Center & Gym Update


Construction Progress 
Construction continues with the exterior walls nearing completion, areas of sidewalk and paving poured, prime and paint in progress throughout, basketball goal installation complete, light fixtures in gym complete and AC soon to be installed.

K-5 Grandparents & Special Friends Day - Feb. 17

Grandparents and Special Friends Day for elementary students will be held on Friday, Feb. 17. Event Schedule: (No RSVP required.)

7:30 - 8:15 a.m. - Check-in | Photo opportunity (gym) 
 

8:20 a.m. - Event begins (gym)
 

8:30 a.m. - Classroom activities with students (elementary bldg.)
 

9:30 a.m. - Chapel honoring Grandparents & Special Friends (gym)
 

10:30 a.m. - Reception | Photo opportunity (gym)

Academic Excellence & Biblical Values
Words to Inspire
 
As the new year began, instead of asking students to create resolutions or lists of personal goals, high school English teacher Donna Lambert challenged her students to partner with her in prayerfully selecting one word to inspire them throughout the year. Read more...
Athletics
Athletes are enjoying their sport and making headlines once again.

Football: HS received second place sportsmanship award.
 
Basketball: MS boys placed second in district tournament; HS athletes are battling opponents in district play but took time out to play faculty and coaches.
 
Swimming: Athletes set records at regional and are headed to state.
 
Cheer: MS and HS cheerleaders held the annual Junior Pep Squad event and continue to support Warrior teams.
 
Soccer: MS girls are district champs and boys placed second. HS soccer players compete through the end of Feb.

Spring Sports: Elem baseball & softball, secondary baseball and softball, track & field and golf are getting underway.
Fine Arts
High School Musical - March 3-5

Join the Fine Arts Department for this fresh approach to the all-time 1967 classic. Sally Brown joins Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder and Snoopy in an average day in the life of Charlie Brown. Audiences will fall in love with these classic characters brought to life by 20 of the most talented CCS fine arts students.

Warrior Choir Member to Sing at TMEA Convention

Congratulations to Julia Williams who will represent CCS at the (TMEA) Texas Music Educators Association Convention for a second consecutive year. 

Congratulations to Maddi Kendall, Caitlyn McCreary, and Rachel Salazar who also had the honor of competing for this elite choir.
