Dance, Aerial Arts, Contortion, and Acrobatics

On Feb. 11 at 7:30 pm, Dzul Dance Company will use their bodies and movement to communicate indigenous pre-Hispanic, Mexican and Latin culture and create bridges between contemporary art and historical heritage. Check them out here.

Mariachi singer Reynaldo Maestas, Baila! Baila!, and Mariachi Tapatio will perform romantic music and dance on Feb. 12 at 2 pm. Come and be delighted by tantalizing rhythms, quick footwork, and powerful vibratos.


For adults, Nick will be at Happy Arte Hour on Feb. 2 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm (Pop Fizz will sell refreshments, including beer and wine). Families can join Nick at ¡Vamos al Museo! on Feb. 4 from 10:30 am-12 pm for a short museum tour followed by a family-friendly art project.


Every Saturday, come to the NHCC Art Museum at 2 pm for a tour of our exhibits. On Feb. 9, from 10-11 am, bring your children (infant to preschool) to ¡Hora de Cuentos! Bilingual Preschool Storytime  to hear  Lovito Learns About Love and Telling the Truth/Lovito Aprende Sobre El Amor y La Verdad  and I Love Saturdays y domingos. Every Thursday is the Bank of America Free Thursday Film Series, with Feb. 2 featuring Biutiful and No eres tu, soy yo, Feb. 9. And don't forget that every Tuesday is Cuban Salsa dance class .

This concert, celebrating the 65th anniversary of Pimentel Guitars, features 16 musical groups in a tribute to the late master guitar makers Lorenzo Pimentel and Agustin Pimentel. It is the ninth concert in the Pimentel Music Series.

Red Note features original music and works by a cast of international dancers and musicians and explores dynamic, visionary movements in dance, music, and visual art inspired by cante flamenco. Musicians will include Ismael de la Rosa and Mariano Morales, among many others.

This collective of women artists will present personal stories of childhood, growing older, loss, love, grief and joy in monologues and short plays that will honor their histories, ancestors, families, and themselves.
