2017 CCISD LIVESTOCK SHOW & AUCTION
Months of hard work, dedication and lots of talent were celebrated at the 35th Annual Clear Creek ISD Livestock Show and Auction where $180,000 was raised for the CCISD FFA program and students. The January 26 event, held at the West Agriculture Barn, attracted a large crowd of proud parents, district administrators and community supporters.  The Grand Champion Steer was raised by Kylie Starks, a junior at Clear Creek High School.

LEADING VOYAGERS
Falcon Pass Elementary held its first Leadership Day for students and staff to show parents and community members their journey so far with "The Leader in Me" program they began this year. This program teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. Students in each grade level enjoyed sharing their goals, service projects and innovative ideas they have been working on with visitors.
YES THEY CAN!
Bayside Intermediate orchestra students break the stereotype that you only have time to be in one extracurricular activity by showing that they can play in orchestra and still have time for other things. The students also participate in sports like tennis, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, golf, basketball, cheerleading, swimming, gymnastics, baseball, football, track and field, cross country, karate and dance. 
FREEZIN' FOR A REASON
The Clear Brook High School bowling team and the Clear Springs High School Student United Way (SUW) program and National Honor Society (NHS) were "freezin' for a reason" last Saturday when they participated in the 6th Annual Galveston Polar Plunge benefiting the Special Olympics of Texas. Together, they raised a total of $2,000 towards the cause. They celebrated the accomplishment by "plunging" into the Gulf of Mexico!

INTERNATIONAL NIGHT AT NORTH POINTE
North Pointe Elementary held an International Night where families came together to learn a little bit more about each other's different cultures. Each student was given a passport to stamp as they visited with booths featuring 19 different countries across the world. Everyone enjoyed learning about these countries and tasting some native food from each.
SPACE, FOOTBALL & GOOD MUSIC
Band members from Clear Lake High School played at NASA Johnson Space Center for a special VIP event to help kick off fesitivites for Super Bowl 51.
