  • Quiet Study Rooms are available on the library's second floor January 25-30 for students preparing for midterm exams. Additionally, private study rooms can be booked by calling the Reference Desk at 203-762-6350.

Parent Information Series: Raise your Child to be a Resilient Adult

Tracey Masella, LCSW, Adolescent Transitional Living Program Manager, Silver Hill Hospital will discuss how helping a child to learn to live life on life's terms will build resilience. Parents will learn how to foster problem solving skills and interpersonal effectiveness in their children. For parents of middle- and high-school children. No charge. Perspectives: The Work of Four Female Artists 
Art Exhibition/Reception

Four local artists showcase their works in this diverse exhibition. The artists are Pam Ackley (New Canaan), Sarah Phillips (Wilton), Skye Riss (Wilton) and Dara Tomeo (Fairfield). The works feature styles, subject matter and medium as varied as the women themselves. The reception is open to the public. The exhibition runs through Feb. 24. The majority of the works are available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Wilton Library.  More info
Hot & Cool Jazz Concert: Amina Figarova Sextet
Saturday, February 4 @7:30pm
Composer and pianist Amina Figarova has toured extensively concentrating on an all-original repertoire for more than 20 years. The Amina Figarova Sextet has triumphed at the Newport Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival; has performed in Chicago, Detroit, Paris, Amsterdam, and New York and in Wilton Library's Brubeck Room in 2013. The Sextet: Amina Figarova, piano; Marc Mommaas, tenor sax; Alex Pope Norris, trumpet; Bart Platteau, flutes; Yasushi Nakamura, bass; Darrell Green, drums. Suggested donation: $10.
