Make Plans to Attend Crisis Preparedness Workshop - March 4 in Rock Valley
Join WIDA, Midwest Dairy Association, and Iowa State Dairy Association for an interactive workshop that will help you prepare for and recover from a crisis situation on your farm.  Whether it is a natural disaster, injury, equipment problem, or milk safety issue ... you can't predict a crisis, but you can prepare for one.

Wednesday, March 4
8am to 1:30pm
Pizza Ranch Meeting Room
Rock Valley, Iowa

Free to WIDA members; $20 per person for non-members

Sherry Newell, Midwest Dairy Association, and Sue Ann Claudon, Iowa State Dairy Association, will facilitate the session.  Participants will leave with a comprehensive crisis preparedness manual that can be the foundation for your farm's plan.

A panel discussion of local dairy industry professionals will provide real-world tips on dealing with natural disasters.  Panelists will include representatives from Sioux Dairy Equipment, Central Veterinary Clinic, and Northwest REC.

Ken Hessenius, Iowa DNR Supervisor based in Spencer, will provide an overview of the department's procedures for manure spills or other environmental issues, and what to expect in working with department staff.

RSVP today - space is limited.  Contact LeAnne at 712-441-5308 or info@wiadairy.com to reserve your spot.
