Resolutions, defined as "a firm decision to do or not to do something," seems simple enough, right? Well, let's take a broad look at this across the many hats we all wear in life. In our personal life, maybe we could make a

decision to get in better shape. And in order to be effective, steps must be set out to accomplish the resolution. In other words, what are the necessary actions? How about, "I will go to the gym 5 times each week." Assuredly, if we went to the gym 5 times a week, we would nail our resolution!
Let's shift our attention to our professional life. What resolutions would you consider? Increased production? Lowered workers' comp costs? Improved safety record? Better morale? Less lost time due to injuries? Promotion to the next rung in the corporate ladder? All of these are excellent resolutions! Now, how to effect an action plan to accomplish.
