REGISTRATION FOR 2017-2018 HAS STARTED!
Registration for the 2017-2018 school year is underway! Milton High School teachers have been putting in their course recommendations for your students' classes for next year. This has been done for all core classes. On Friday, February 3, your student will be sent home with the first verification form for you to view these recommendations for next school year. On that form you will see the core classes (Math, Science, Social Studies & Language Arts) picked by your students' current teachers. Keep in mind the first verification form may not include your students' elective courses, but they will be included in the second verification. You will find instructions to make changes on the verification form as well. Once all changes are made, please have your student return the form to school on Monday, February 6. There will be a second verification sent home on Friday, February 24 which will include all classes for your student. Please continue referencing the Eagle Update, Milton website and the Milton Announcements for further information about registration for next school year.
We thank you for your efforts in making this a successful registration. Go Eagles!

TEACHER ASSISTANT PROGRAM 2017-2018
Milton is starting a Teacher's Assistant (TA) program as part of work-based-learning (WBL) next year (2017-2018). We see the TA as an additional resource in our move to personalized learning. Here are the basics:
- Rising juniors and seniors who have completed or are enrolled in an AP course must apply during the 2017 Winter Semester registration process. No applications will be accepted after elective registration closes on 2/24. The WBL application is available from counselors, career tech teachers, and room 2301
- TA's must commit to a year-long term of service
- TA's will be enrolled in a WBL course and will be assigned to a specific classroom teacher to serve as a TA each and every day of the school year.
- The specific classroom teacher will serve as the TA's mentor and will complete 3 evaluations per semester regarding the TA's on-the-job performance
- TA's will not grade work or pass out papers
Please see Ms. Crowe in room 2301 with any specific questions.
|
The Work-Based Learning application process is now open. All rising juniors and seniors are eligible to apply for a year-long paid or unpaid internship in WBL. WBL students work off-site at an employer location AND complete monthly resume & portfolio-building activities. Students must apply for WBL during the 2017 Winter Semester registration process. No applications will be accepted after elective registration closes on 2/24. The WBL application is available from counselors, career tech teachers, and room 2301. Students may apply for a 1-hour or a 2-hour WBL, and they may indicate whether they wish for WBL to be at the first of the school day or the end of the school day. Students must find their own job with the assistance of the WBL coordinator. Students DO NOT have to have a job until August 1, 2017. |
