Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.

The Interact Club is collecting money to sponsor hygiene care kits for the Honduras Senior Mission Trip. In past years, individual hygiene items were collected, but to aid in giving each child the same amount of items, we’ve assembled a kit containing shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, etc.
A $5 donation will help cover the cost of one kit to give to one child, so we’re encouraging our student body to sponsor at least 1 kit each. This amount will help exceed our goal of taking 400 kits to Honduras. Any extra amount raised will go directly to the ministry of BMDMI in Honduras.
Each morning from 7:50-8:10 am beginning Monday, February 6th, Interact members will be stationed on each hall and in the Wolverine Den to collect $5 donations from 2nd-12th grade. Interact members will visit the 'Lil Wolves Cottages directly after morning announcements. We will collect donations each morning until Friday, February 17th.
Help Interact Club help our seniors as they share the love of Christ to the children of Honduras!

This week in chapel we continued our walk through the Book of I John. For the next several weeks, we will be answering the following key question: “What does genuine faith look like?”
As you and your family go about life this week, consider the following questions for conversation:
CONVERSATION STARTERS:
Read through I John 2:9-11; Exodus 20:3-17; Matthew 22:36-40; John 13:35.
- “What can you take away from the fact that the first 4 of the Ten Commandments deal directly with our ‘vertical relationship’ (between us and God) and the other 6 of the Ten Commandments deal directly with our ‘horizontal relationships’ (between us and other people)?”
- “In Matthew 22:36-40, how did Jesus sum up the entire Old Testament?”
- “Of all the things that Jesus could have said would identify us as His followers, why do you think he said it would be our love for one another (John 13:35)?”
- “Do you think that it is possible to be in right alignment with God while being out of alignment with the people around us? Why or why not?”
- “Do you think that it is possible to be in right alignment with the people around us while being out of alignment with God? Why or why not?”
- “Why does the Bible place so much emphasis and importance on the way we treat other people?”
- “How can I pray for you?”
Thank you so much for continuing in your homes the conversations that we have in our chapels!
So glad to be partnering together with you!
