"Throw me something, sister!"
Catholic Schools Week is coming up, and it provides a chance to celebrate the spiritual formation and academic excellence of the 80 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

The Jan. 28 issue of the Clarion Herald takes a look at a plan by Good Shepherd Nativity Mission School plan to move to a new complex in Gentilly near St. Augustine High School.

The Catholic Schools Week section also has a story on a recent St. Mary's Academy graduate who is donating thousands of dollars a year for scholarships and on Mount Carmel Academy's new collaborative learning center.

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards led a state delegation to the Vatican last week to speak with Pope Francis about what Louisiana is doing to combat human trafficking.

A large contingent from the archdiocese traveled to Baton Rouge on Saturday for the Louisiana Life March South.

Mardi Gras is coming up, and you may be yelling, "Throw me something, sister!" In a bid to spread the story of their foundress - Venerable Henriette Delille - the Sisters of the Holy Family will be the first religious congregation to take over a float in the Crewe of Femme Fatale.

In his regular column. Archbishop Gregory Aymond praises a northshore group that gathers each month for a Mass for special children.

In Kids' Clarion, read about St. Clement of Rome School's decision to go all-in on recycling.

And how can we make America great again? See the world through the eyes of a newborn baby.
