Richard Egdahl Dies at 89

Richard Egdahl, a nationally recognized endocrine surgeon, pioneering researcher, and force for change in national health policy, died in Naples, Fla., April 30 of complications from Parkinson's disease.  
 
Studies by Benjamin Wolozin, MD, PhD, may provide insight into novel therapeutic approaches targeting formation of tau pathology that drives degeneration.

Mary Travis Bassett, MD, MPH will be the guest speaker at the MD, MD/PhD commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 12. Bassett serves as Commissioner, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
