Magnetics Powder Core Catalog 2015

Coming in early 2015 - a new edition of the Magnetics Powder Core catalog.  Powder core shapes and XFLUX toroids have been added to the index, E core, U core and Block data has been expanded, and the curves for Kool Mu shapes and MPP THINZ cores have been moved forward with the other curves. The catalog has a more user friendly flow for finding and comparing information on different sizes, perms and shapes of cores.

2014 - Year in Review

Magnetics Sales Engineers created a new Inductor Design Software late third quarter 2014.  The software enhancements include: 

  • More flexibility to adjust turns to allow the engineer to customize his design
  • More core suggestions
  • All material curves were updated
  • Five new size cores were added

Magnetics announced our Powder Core Toroids (larger than 25 mm OD) now have a minimum voltage breakdown of 2000 volts.  This is an increase from Magnetics previous minimum of 1000 volts and is the highest minimum voltage breakdown in the industry.  Updated datasheets are available on our website.

APEC logo
APEC 2015 will take place March 15-19, 2015 in Charlotte, NC.  This is the 30th anniversary of the Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition. Although APEC, The Premier Event in Applied Power Electronics™, focuses on the practical and applied aspects of the power electronics business, it has something of interest for anyone involved in power electronics.
