The American Physiological Society recently published new guidelines to enhance transparency and reproducibility of research. The editors of the Journal of Neurophysiology encourage all authors and reviewers to become familiar with these guidelines. Checklists will be soon be added to our editorial system to facilitate compliance with the guidelines.
