Over the next few months we'll be introducing our new Zone 5 Committee Members! They are already working hard for the zone. Take a minute to get to know them, and stay tuned for more introductions!
Patrick Boyle, Chair
Pat, of Hampshire, Illinois, owns Showplace Productions and has been involved in the sport for more than 40 years as a horse show manager, course designer, licensed official, trainer and clinician. He has also been involved with multiple committees. His goals as a committee member include improving and developing the sport in a way that works for all members. In his spare time, he enjoys golf.
Diane Carney, Vice Chair
Diane, of Algonquin, Illinois, is a horsewoman with more than 35 years of experience as a grand prix rider, hunter rider, clinician, USHJA Certified Trainer, event organizer, commentator, course designer and USEF Registered Judge. Diane
has served on the USHJA Board of Directors, since 2015, and has been involved with several USHJA committees over the years including the Junior Hunter Task Force, High Performance Hunter Committee, and the Zone 5 Hunter Committee. She was also named as USHJA's representative to the USEF International Disciplines Council.
Patricia Haines, Treasurer
Patricia, of Temperance, Michigan, known around the horse show world as "Aunt Pat," has been showing horses for 66 years. She is involved with Fox Meadow Farm in Michigan, is the chairman of the Hunter Jumper Association of Michigan's spring horse shows and has been running shows for 20 years. She wants to help increase development of young riders and help with the safety of the sport as a committee member. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and making leather belts. If she could have dinner with any equestrian she would choose Gordon Wright.
