Letters to Santa

Santa is Accepting Letters 
DEADLINE:  December 15 by 4 PM
after that Santa will be too busy getting ready for the holidays to answer letters.
Where: Drop your letters off at the red mailbox in front of the NEW Municipal Building or mail to "Santa" Warren Twp. Recreation Commission, 46 Mountain Blvd., Warren, NJ 07059
What to include: Return Address, No stamp is needed
Every child will receive a personalized letter from Santa!
10th Annual Winter Festival, Bonfire & Fireworks!
Theme: Chinese New Years

             4:20 PM Lighting of Bonfire

Location: 46 Mountain Blvd, by the Municipal Ball Fields
What to expect: Carnival Rides, Petting Zoo, Horse and Carriage Rides, Ice Carving of a Dragon, Stilt Walker, Carnival Games, Vendors, Photo booth, Ice Skating, Marshmallow Roasting, food for sale & MORE!
Performances by: Take Flight Dance Center, Murray Hill Chinese School, The Village Voices, Watchung Hills Marching Warrior Band & Bob Marino
Each week an activity  will be featured for the
10th Annual Winter Festival:

Students from the school will be performing a Contemporary Chinese Scarf Dance at 5:30 PM
Trails in Warren
Warren Blue Ridge Sportsmen's Club Is At It Again!
The Warren Blue Ridge Sportsmen's Club have cleared a bike path at Glenhurst Trail along the Raritan River and cleaned up the front of Glenhurst Trail.  They have finished trail work for the year and will resume work next year.  Their next volunteer commitment will be setting up and breaking up for the Winter Festival on January 20 (Rain date January 27).  We cannot do this without them!
Trails Committee
If you want to be apart  of helping with the trails the Recreation Commission Trails Committee will be interviewing interested adults who would like to join the trails committee. This committee would meet four times a year. They will help with monitoring and maintaining township trails and determining improvements including possible Scout projects and creating trail brochures. No experience necessary, just desire to help with improvements and awareness. Please send a letter of interest with a short bio to [email protected]

Easy Holiday Side Dishes
When: December 13
Time: 10:15 am- 10:45 am  
Join us as we learn how to make easy side dishes for the holidays with the help of Jessica Guarnieri, Registered Dietitian, Shoprite/Wakefern . These delicious, crowd pleasing dishes will be great to bring to a pot luck or family gathering this holiday season! Be sure to bring your appetite so you can sample a tasty recipe.
