Please let us know how we can support you and your student as we finish out this grading period. Don't hesitate to contact your student's teachers or principals with questions or concerns.

Have a great week!

Sincerely ,

LHS Lecture Hall

Join us Wednesday, Feb. 22nd at either 11:30 or 7:30 for our February Parent Tech lunch/dinner & learn session about Google Classroom. This tool is being used by the counselors to gather information for student registration and for students to turn in their personal graduation plan. Teachers also use Google Classroom to give assignments, make announcements, and push material out to their students throughout the school year. Not sure what Google Classroom is, how to access it, or what your student needs to do to turn in work using this tool? Come to our parent tech session next Wednesday and learn the ins and outs of Google Classroom! All questions are welcome, and we will offer practical how-to instruction to help you. Bring your lunch or dinner and learn with us!

LHS History Bowl and History Bee
This Saturday, the Quiz Bowl team traveled to Oklahoma City to compete in a regional qualifier for the History Bowl and the History Bee. Competitors were attempting to earn a bid to the National tournament in Washington, DC later this spring. History Bowl is a team trivia competition covering all areas of history including art, music, literature, science, and entertainment. The History Bee is a similar competition, but students compete as individuals instead of a team. Additionally, competitors took a qualifying exam for the US History Bee which will also be held at the National tournament.
The LHS team had another strong showing this year.

The following students placed in the History Bee and qualified for the national tournament:
Noah Corbitt - 2nd place
John Reaves - 5th place

The following students qualified for the US History Bee:
Noah Corbitt - 1st place
John Reaves - 2nd place
Zach Brown - 3rd place

Finally, the History Bowl team finished in 2nd place with both losses to eventual champion Wichita Collegiate High School (KS). The Quiz Bowl team also qualified for the national tournament.
