ASID NYU/CE Student Design Competition 2017 

Entry Requirements and Criteria

1. Categories: This year we are accepting student projects in the following categories:

A. Freshman/Sophomore Level Design Students

B. Junior/Senior Level Design Students

2. Criteria: The submission should depict a project created during the course of your college/university studio since January 1, 2016. You may enter as many projects as you wish in either category. Each project must be entered separately. Entry fees are charged per project submission. All entries must be the work of the entering student only. No team project entries will be accepted.

3. Project Statement: Please provide a brief description of your submission outlining the design intent, objectives, program requirements, design challenges and solutions provided. The statement must be a maximum of 150 words and shown directly on your board.

4. Requirements: Please submit a maximum of three (3) 11” x 17” presentation boards in PDF format in either landscape or portrait orientation. The boards may consist of plans, elevations, material selections, rendered perspectives, photographs or other media which complement the outline provided in the project statement. Boards must also include your name, school, project statement, and title of the project. All submission must be submitted in electronic form to Janice Medina at jjmedina14@gmail.com.

5. Eligibility: Any student who is an ASID member in good standing and currently enrolled in an interior design university or college program within the NYU/CE chapter region.

6. Fee: ASID student members may enter for $10.00 per entry. 

7. Deadline EXTENDED: ASID New York Upstate/Canada East Chapter must receive completed entries by 5:00pm on Friday, April 14th.
