Transforming Leadership and Programs to Drive Philanthropy

Attendees will learn about the strategic transformation of an iconic, 100-year old brand and the ways in which Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas continues to reinvent programming and cultivate a diverse female leadership network to drive its philanthropy.

Jennifer Bartkowski
Jennifer Bartkowski serves as CEO of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. With a focus on membership growth and building for the future, Jennifer is leading the development of a $13 million STEM Center of Excellence in southern Dallas to build a pipeline for female leaders in science, technology, engineering and math. Jennifer began her Girl Scout career in 2009 as Chief Development Officer of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas and led the organization to record annual and capital fundraising results. In 2013, Jennifer was appointed to serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the council, where she added focus and innovation to new programming initiatives, mission delivery, and the Girl Scout cookie program. She is one of two CEOs nationwide appointed to the National Movement Strategy Committee for Girl Scouts of the USA. As a Girl Scout herself, Jennifer was the recipient of the Girl Scout Silver Award, and received the Honor Pin for outstanding service by an adult member.

Thank you being a part of our chapter! There are multitudes of exciting ways to become engaged. We want to know you personally and hear how we can best serve your needs.
 
Monthly Luncheons: We committed to providing you with informative programs. We are very grateful to Larry Weil for sharing his corporate marketing expertise at the luncheon. His presentation was filled with real world examples that you can utilize to increase your organization's sponsorship support.
 
You won't want to miss our upcoming meeting on February 22nd as we welcome Jennifer Bartkowski, CEO of Girls Scouts of Northeast Texas, as our presenter. We are thrilled to have Jennifer share how she rose through the ranks of the Girl Scouts to be a catalyst for a nationwide movement to transform and serve today's girls and volunteers. As an extra special treat we will have a Girl Scout Cookie Sale during her presentation! Yum, what's your favorite cookie?

AFP International is looking for members who are artists, poets and photographers to exhibit their artwork at the Member Art Showcase at the upcoming International Conference in San Francisco. You do not have to attend the conference to participate. You can either bring your artwork and deliver it to the Moscone Center West on Saturday, April 29th at 1:30 p.m., or ship AFP International Headquarters, attention Heba Mahmoud, to arrive by March 31st. If you choose to ship it to AFP, it will be included in their overall shipment to the conference and they will ship it back to you as well. AFP will cover your shipping costs. All you need to do is submit a receipt to Heba Mahmoud, 4300 Wilson Blvd, Suite 300, Arlington, VA 22203-4168.  Members interested in submitting artwork should complete an online form at  https://form.jotform.com/70183172517150 .
