Dear Parents and Friends,

This week has been quite an eventful one for our Middle School students!  The Stingrays competed in their final game of the basketball season; and our bnei and bnot mitzvah of July 2016-January 2017 were honored with new tanachim at our first Bar/Bat Mitzvah Luncheon of the year. The 7th Grade class also helped 1st Grade with a project on the story of Little Red Riding Hood (which was the focus this week for 1st Grade's and Chaverim's "Fairy Tale February") and shared their own fairy tales they had written in English class.

Many of our Elementary classes completed their unit on Tu B'shvat and were introduced (or re-introduced) to Purim in fun, musical ways. They also discussed the ten commandments, which are part of this week's parsha.

Mazal tov to Yitzhak, Melissa, and the whole Belsh family on the birth of their new baby boy! We are glad to hear both mom and baby are doing well!

Congregation Ohav Emeth will be hosting us this Motza'ei Shabbat, Saturday February 18th at 7:15pm, for our Parent-Child Learning with YJS event. Please see the flyer below or click here for more information. We look forward to seeing you there!

School for both campuses will be closed on Monday, February 20th for Presidents' Day. Enjoy the long weekend and have a Shabbat Shalom!
