February 2017
Thank you for attending our Neighborhood Sustainability Fair!
Breathe California of the Bay Area in conjunction with PG&E, Lexus Stevens Creek, Our City Forest, and other vendors, hosted a sustainability fair at Bellarmine College Preparatory. The local community's attendance was strongly encouraged to witness sustainability practices. In exposing community members to the abundance of sustainable waste disposal options we decreased in the amount of landfill waste generated. Bellarmine volunteers collected televisions, laptops and computers, batteries, telephones, cables, among other e-waste.   Read More.

Thank you Sally!
Sally is a rising junior at Quimby Oak Middle School, Evergreen San Jose, who cares a lot about the
environment.
She also scouts out opportunities to make difference in local community.

When Sally came to know about Breathe California's fundraising drive for cleaner air and smoke-free environment, she enthusiastically took part. This young girl had the courage to talk to local businesses and arranged three book sales events at different locations and was able to raise $190! It's a huge inspiration for us to have Sally as part of our community!
Be The First is a public service announcement (PSA) contest open to local youth throughout the Bay Area. This PSA contest is open to all youth grades 6-12 to create a 30 or 60 second video with a tobacco/nicotine-free message.
