Principal's Message
Parents,
Please join Murwood staff, Site Council, and District Representatives for TODAY'S meeting with WLC Architects. They will be presenting information that will help us create the Master Plan for each of our schools in the district. Having spent Friday touring 21st century schools in Marin County, you won't want to miss this opportunity to take a look at and provide input into the process for making our district the innovative leaders our students deserve. See you at 3 PM in the library!
Best of luck to our Spelling Bee finalists on Friday! We are proud of you!
Carol Nenni
Murwood Principal

District News
District Master Plan
In June, 2016, WCSD passed a facility bond to upgrade facilities, infrastructure and improve energy efficiency in all Walnut Creek School District Schools. In November, the Governing Board contracted with WLC Architects to create a Master Plan for the district to ensure we have a comprehensive blueprint to provide students with safe, 21st century learning environments.
Please join Murwood staff and District Representatives to engage stakeholders in defining the How and Why Schools look different in the 21st Century on
TODAY at 3 PM in the Murwood Library.

After School Enrichment Registration
We are so excited to bring back ASE classes for the spring session! Registration is now open and classes will begin the week of February 27 unless otherwise noted. Please check your Wednesday envelopes for the master schedule with course descriptions and the Murwood PTA website for flyers to our different courses. Please note: classes are offered by different vendors so check their flyers for how to register. The front office does not accept fees or registration.
We've brought back some of your favorite old offerings as well as some exciting new classes!

Please join WCEF - Walnut Creek Education Foundation team on OhmConnect? It's a program that donates to the school when you save energy at home. We need to replace eScrip this year and this program is free and super simple to join. Let Alison Gomez know if you have any questions about it!

WCEF invites you to #Turn Up The Heat next week.
As of now, only 30% of our families have donated to WCEF this school year. Our #Turn Up The Heat campaign is designed to increase the percentage of parent participation. Next week you will receive either a red envelope in your child's Wednesday envelope or an email asking for your support. Please join your fellow K-12 families and make a donation that will support our students and their education.
