Serving From the Heart:
Finding your gifts and talents for service
With our sermon series Who Are You? and talk of our one word for 2017, REFRESH, are you feeling a stirring to understand better how you will fit into the future here at FUMCG?
Come embark on a journey by attending Serving from the Heart on Sundays, February 12, 19, and 26, at 9:15 AM in the Family Life Center. Rev. Grant Palma and Bev Campisi, Volunteer Coordinator, will guide you to seek to discover and affirm for yourself certain biblical truths: You are uniquely created by God. God has given you significant gifts. God has a plan and purpose for your life. As a Christian, you have been called to serve.
Because we know that God's plan for the church calls for each of us to serve in a way that allows us to be effective and to feel personally fulfilled, we will start week one with a Spiritual Gifts Discovery Tool which after you complete, you will have identified your spiritual gifts. Week two will be an overview of how our talents, resources, individuality and dreams all work together for fulfilling God's call. Week three will outline how the areas of ministry here at FUMCG support our vision and how each of our ministry teams need each of the spiritual gifts we collectively bring to further God's kingdom here and now.
Will you let us know if you plan to attend so we can prepare materials for each of you? RSVP to Bev Campisi at [email protected]. NOTE: If you are unable to attend week one on February 12, please go online and complete the spiritual gifts discovery tool at www.ministrymatters.com/spiritualgifts.

Get Connected to Our Latvian Village
For last Sunday's Latvia Sharing Sunday, our friends at Riga First Church in Latvia shared a written report and pictures of some of the ministry and renovations going on there. We invite you to view the written report
on our website. Also, at the end of our sharing session, we intended to draw your attention to the Check-In for ways you can get involved in Latvia... but we ran out of time! If you didn't have a chance to sign up, the opportunities are listed at the bottom of the report
.
