COS Sustainacenter - Q&A
The Sustainacenter, located at 702 E. Boulder St, is home to several amazing organizations that work hard to keep Colorado Springs a healthy, ecofriendly and fun place to be. 

To get to know more about these great organizations and how to get involved, we interviewed a few of the folks involved. 

IDEATE Moves to Forster House
IDEATE isn't just a savvy, new word one might hope they can find in the Webster Dictionary. It's the name of the program that is calling the Forster House 'home'. 

IDEATE is an acronym for "Innovative Drivetrains in Electric Automotive Technology Education,"....

UCCS Gears-up for CCN

The month of February starts a national competition that encourages residential students to reduce their consumption of energy and water.  This year's competition will be between our three housing villages...

  • Student Garden - Located in the Heller Center, the Student Garden is aimed towards forming a permaculture with sustainable design, promoting the importance of mindfulness when it comes to the environment.

Volunteer Spotlight: Amy Hou

Last semester, you could find Amy helping our Recycling Assistants collect cardboard all over campus. A recently graduated senior in Business - Marketing, she is most interested in water conservation and clean-ups, shown through her Lead Volunteer Internship  with the city's Creek Week initiative. 

We couldn't make UCCS more sustainable without you!
