Correction: July 1 State Rate Becomes Effective
June 25, 2015

Dear WH&LA Lodging Member:

First, we were just advised by OSER that even though the full plan passed on Tuesday by the Joint Committee On Employment Relations goes into effect June 28, just the component changing the State Lodging Per Diem rate is, unbeknownst to us, automatically delayed to go into effect July 1, 2015. We have updated the WH&LA State Lodging Per Diem Issue Brief to reflect the extended implementation date, and suggest that you toss out any copies of the earlier version. Our apologies for any confusion - this separate effective date was not mentioned at the hearing and did not appear in the proposal letter.

OSER will be publishing a bulletin by tomorrow noting the rate change, which should provide the verification you may need when advising state employees of the rate change. They committed to sending us the link to share with you, so we will be sure to forward it accordingly.

Second, we do respectfully ask that the materials that WH&LA sends to you as a lodging member, as a member benefit, not be forwarded to those who are not lodging members. This will allow us to continue to give you more detailed insights than we can if we do not know who may be viewing it, plus it will help to demonstrate to current non-member lodging properties the value of investing in membership, as you do. We thank you for your support on this.
