Impact of Election on HCEG's Top 10

HCEG Members at AAPAN Annual Forum
Some past and present HCEG members participated in the American Association of Payers, Administrators & Networks ( AAPAN) in Tucson, AZ this week.  On Saturday, January 28th Ferris Taylor moderated AAPAN's pre-conference event "What Happens in the West Doesn't Stay in the West." 

Ferris also presented ' The Future of the State Exchanges: Post Election - The Not-so-Crystal, Crystal Ball.' A summary of that presentation including the slides presented by Ferris can be found here.

Yesterday, January 31st, Ferris moderated three sessions in AAPAN's "Government Programs & Group Health" track. Current HCEG member Dr. David DiLoreto - Sr VP Population Health at General Electric - teamed up with former HCEG member Mark Stryker, VP of Business Development at GuideWell Connect and Jerry Burgess - Partner at Spring Street Exchange to present the following sessions:

"The Convenience of Retail Healthcare with a Side of the Rare Catastrophic Event - How Today's Consumers View Healthcare"

"Close All the Hospitals"

"Data Not Dinero"

Some highlights from the above sessions will be shared via the HCEG blog over the next week.
Planning for the 2017 HCEG Annual Forum 
Planning for HCEG's 2017 Annual Forum scheduled for September 18-20, 2017 in Nashville, TN is progressing with sessions and speakers being identified and developed. Right now, the prevalent theme seems to be "uncertainty" and "managing risk."
