What Holds You?
What holds you?
What, and who, really hold(s) you?
These are questions I've asked myself many times in the past year. What holds my presence? What holds my inspiration? And
who holds me? With all that I do and with all that is going on in the world, I've found it essential to hone in, moment-to-moment, on what is important, where my attention and focus need to be directed, and who I want to connect with on a deep and meaningful level.
To me, to be held is to be supported, to be contained, to be hugged. It means I have guidance, and support. It means I am not alone, even when I am alone. I can be held by a community of people, by a vision for equity, by my family and friends, by my mentors and teachers, by the warmth and security of my home, and BY MY PRACTICE. This I am saying last, but really it comes first. In order to even seek out and fully experience the other wonderful "hugs," I start with my practice. I go to my mat with my breath and a few poses, and my meditation practice, and the rest of each day is enhanced.
February 1 is the also the launch of our new
schedule and
workshops and several exciting
new teachers. Try a new class or teacher this month and you could

So, what holds you? What really holds you? #whatholdsyou
