News from Denver CPD that may impact building and development projects
Roofing guide and inspections policy change
Thank you to all of the contractors, roofers, and homeowners who turned out last night for our "Roofing in Denver" educational session and Q&A.
One of the highlights was a discussion of the role of manufacturer's installation instructions. Manufacturer's instructions ARE included in both the International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC) in code sections IBC 1503.1 or IRC R903.1.
Policy Change: You can continue to hire third-party roof inspectors for re-roofs on single-family and duplex projects. The policy end date of February 2017 has been removed.

Under the EPA's renovation, repair, and painting (RRP) rule, any individual or firm that does renovation, repair, or painting work in houses or child-occupied facilities built before 1978 must be trained and certified by the EPA in lead-safe work practices.
