The Live Oak Public Libraries staff would like to wish you, and our friends at the Georgia Historical Society a happy Georgia Day! To honor this very special occasion, we'd like to re-introduce you to one of our most valuable resources.

The Kaye Kole Genealogy and Local History Room, located at the Bull Street Library, serves as a resource center for non-circulating material on the history and genealogy of Georgia and Savannah.

Non-fragile items from this room--including microfilm--are available to the public for in-house use during the following hours:
  • Mon.  11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Tue.     9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Wed.    9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Thur.    9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Fri.       9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Sat.      9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Sun.  CLOSED
The Kaye Kole Genealogy and Local History Room is packed with resources, 
including:
  • Gamble Collection of maps, manuscripts and pictures pertaining to Savannah history
  • Census Materials
  • Family histories, county histories and other genealogy materials
  • Savannah telephone books, city directories, and Sanborn maps
  • Civil War records
  • Colonial, revolutionary, and Confederate records of Georgia
  • Newspapers
  • Maps
