The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce  and Towne Bank OBX Cordially Invite You to the 2017 Economic Summit.  Event will be held 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Captain George's Seafood Restaurant, Kill Devil Hills.

 

Speakers include:

Christopher Chung Economic Development Partnership of NC (EDPNC) - will talk about State Efforts and Successes in Economic Development

In addition Community Partners/Economic Drivers will update participants on their programs and services:

Ronnie Sloan, The Outer Banks Hospital - The hospital is celebrating 15 years on the Outer Banks; hear about their contribution to our region and impact on the local economy.

Tim Sweeney, College of the Albemarle - COA is introducing new programs including Hospitality and Customer Service, both important programs for our region.

Harry Schiffman and Jim Tobin, Oregon Inlet Task Force - Oregon Inlet is one of our key economic drivers; learn the history of this important access point for our community and its economic impact to our area.

Jerry Jennings, NC Department of Transportation - Bonner Bridge, Mid Currituck Bridge and the  proposed jug-handle bridge for Hatteras.  Timelines, progress and the economic impact of these projects on the area.
