Happy Halloween from Karu
Hello, my name is Karu and I am the inspiration behind CARU Pet Food. I'm also our Chief Taste Testing Officer (CTTO).

Well, it's that time of year again when my Mummas and Daddas enjoy dressing me up in silly costumes. This year for Halloween, they have decided that I would be Mr. Spock from Star Trek. Really, who is Mr. Spock anyways? All I know is that his t-shirt was awfully tight fitting (too tight really for my buff figure) and he has silly ears (they made me look like a girl)!

Mummas took this video of Daddas dressing me up for Halloween. I hope you enjoy watching it. As you can see, I was really good and let them have their fun. But, don't you worry, I'll get them back with a surprise middle of the night barking episode. We'll see who's laughing then. Hahaha!

This Halloween, please remember to keep all us fur people, safe. Here are some good tips to keep in mind from the ASPCA's website:
  • Stash the Treats. Several popular Halloween treats are toxic to pets. If you suspect your pet has ingested something toxic, please call your veterinarian or the ASPCA Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435 immediately.
  • Watch the Decorations and Keep Wires Out of Reach. While a carved jack-o-lantern certainly is festive, pets can easily knock over a lit pumpkin and start a fire. Curious kittens are especially at risk of getting burned.
  • Be Careful with Costumes. For some pets, wearing a costume may cause undue stress.
  • Keep Pets Calm and Easily Identifiable.

Halloween brings a flurry of activity with visitors arriving at the door, and too many strangers can often be scary and stressful for pets. All but the most social dogs and cats should be kept in a separate room away from the front door during peak trick-or-treating hours.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween. Woofs and Tail Wags from me, Karu.
